NDT Engineer – Level 2
Role: Inspection and evaluation of components and materials to detect discontinuities (defects) using established NDT methods
Reporting to: Operations Manager – Quality Manager
Responsibilities
- Set & run multiple NDT equipment plus other additional processes as instructed
- Create new techniques as and when required by the business or customer
- Be responsible for the quality of the products produced ensuring all quality checks are performed and recorded as requested
- Carry out TPM activities on equipment as instructed
- Preparing fixtures and tools for forth coming jobs in your section
- Participate in Kaizen events – Problem solving, 5S, Set up Reduction and other activities
- Ensure completion of all routing cards and any MRP bookings (Javelin) to allow accurate tracking and traceability of products
- Track daily workload and report/record any deviation to plan as instructed when required
What you will bring
- A minimum of 5 Years in MPI, FPI and AEI is desirable, but all applicants will be considered
- NADCAP audit experience desirable, but not essential
- Hardness and conductivity experience also desirable
- Team player with a can-do attitude
- High technical ability to interrogate drawings and specifications
- Willing to learn new skills and take part in a structured training program
- A willingness to grow in the role and develop the position
- Be approachable to new ideas and a good listener
- Not be afraid to challenge or be challenged
- Willing to train and support colleagues
- High level of attention to detail
