Value Stream Quality Engineer
Role: To facilitate the continual improvement and development of quality processes within the value stream. To promote best practice methods using data & analysis to create a sustainable 100% right first-time environment.
Reporting to: Value Stream Manager – Quality Manager
Responsibilities
- To be the point of contact for all quality activities within the Value Stream
- Create and maintain quality plans for each product/process within the value stream (including goods-in) building quality into the process
- Working alongside the process improvement engineer within the value stream provide support and expertise for route cause analysis and NCR close outs
- Participate and lead Kaizen events – Problem solving, 5S, Set up reduction and other activities. SPC gauge R&R
- Conduct daily value stream MRB meeting
- Oversee and be responsible for the value stream calibration function
- Carrying out first articles as per AS9102 and in line with customer requirements
- Attend daily SQDCP Tier Meeting
- Attend x-functional value stream’s quality meeting
- Responsible for the value streams quality data
- To complete and sign off concessions when required
- To complete and aid the product sign off process (certificate of conformity)
- Facilitating the value streams goods in inspection using data & SPC
- Liaising with customers and suppliers where applicable
- Be open to learning new skills and be willing to move around the business to other areas if required. Operating different pieces of equipment and performing other processes if required
